ProppFrexx ONAIR Editions

There are four different Editions available each offering more resp. less features than the other one.

What's Included?

Remote-Control:

The remoting features are only supported in the Premium, Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to remote control ProppFrexx ONAIR via various interfaces (GPIO). This includes Keyboard Hotkey mappings, TCP/IP, MIDI, GamePort, Serial I/O, OSC, IO-Warrior, Velleman and maybe others in the future.

Segue-Editor:

The graphical Segue-Editor is only supported in the Premium, Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to visually define the segue/mix of subsequent tracks of a playlist including track inserts (voice overs) up to the millisecond. Instant recording of insert tracks is supported as well as real-time tempo adjustments and complex volume envelope definitions. Creating a perfect segue/mix was never made so easy and comes in full "What you see and hear, is what you get".

Scripting/Scheduler Support:

The Scripting/Scheduler feature (Automation) is only supported in the Premium, Professional and Enterprise Edition!
The scripting engine allows you to define any number of scripts, which tells the system what and how tracks should be played during automation. Within the scheduler you define when and how any script should run (with fixed or soft start time, as an overlay or new program, with or without a fixed end time etc.). In addition the scheduler allows you to also define general reminders, alerts or to simply execute any available control command. The scripting engine combined with the scheduler allow you to run your station fully automated. So without this feature (as in the Basic Edition) you can run ProppFrexx ONAIR 'only' in manual, live-assist mode.

External Scheduler Integration:

The External Scheduler Integration is only supported in the Premium, Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to import external scheduler log files (e.g. from Music1, PowerGold, MusicMaster, MaxRadio, Natural, Traffic 2000, Ramcomm etc.) directly into the ProppFrexx ONAIR scheduler. During the import appropriate import playlists as well as program scheduler entries might be created automatically on-the-fly as needed. This also includes the feature to export your media library entries to an external file which might be imported back by your external scheduler application to synchronize the shared media entries to be used.

MODStream Watcher:

The MODStream Watcher feature is only supported in the Premium, Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to monitor external streaming sources (e.g. SHOUTcast, ICEcast or WMA streams; URLs) in the background at any definable time and if alive any current program might be suspended/paused or overlaid. This allows you to easily integrate external live, moderator broadcasts into your standard program.

Database MediaLibraries:

The database feature is only supported in the Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to define media libraries based on a database table (any ODBC connection will be supported). ProppFrexx ONAIR will use a simple database table to hold the reference to the location of the media entries (you might also create a view to your existing database table to use this feature). In addition this features supports Meta Data lookup from an external database table or view.

Overlay and FixTime-Element Support:

The Overlay feature is only supported in the Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to define overlay playlists to be played out above your regular program at any definable time (organized in a seperate and independent scheduler), this also includes the ability to define FixTime elements within scripts. An overlay playlist will suspend/pause or really overlay any current program and allows you to define stuff to be played independent from any program (e.g. advertising, news, weather, traffic reports, alerts, time info etc.). This feature also extends the Log-File Import with the ability to support overlay scheduler entries to be created automatically (e.g. for independent spot break groups). Note, that dynamic embedded overlay containers are only supported in the Enterprise-Edition.

Extended Scripting:

Script Rules and Restrictions are only supported in the Professional and Enterprise Edition!
Script Rules allow you to define rules based on the current and previous track to either suppress or defer its playout. In addition various other options are enabled, like alternative location mapping, special elements, track insert transitions, embedded script containers etc.

Voice-Tracking:

The Voice-Tracking feature is only supported in the Professional and Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to instantly record voice over tracks as a segue in between two playlist entries. Voice-Tracking is implemented as an easy three state recording engine: 1.Start=Next of previous track, 2.Next=Start of next track, 3.Stop.

Remote MediaLibraries:

The remote feature is only supported in the Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to define media libraries connected to a remote media library server (e.g. located on a central server within your local area network). In this case a media library server will maintain all references to your central media library repository whereas the ProppFrexx ONAIR clients might access those media entries remotely.

Remote Voice-Tracking:

The Remote Voice-Tracking feature requires two ProppFrexx instances: an Enterprise Edition on the server side and any other Edition locally.
As such you can use/invoke Remote Voice-Tracking from any Edition, as long as a running Enterprise Edition is available remotely. Remote Voice-Tracking synchronizes a scheduled playlist template and all associated audio tracks between the server side and the local instance (optionally in a compressed way) and allows you to fully prepare your voice tracking from any remote/home location.

UAC and Multi-Studio:

The User Access Control and Multi-Studio feature is only supported in the Enterprise Edition!
The UAC feature allows you to define user, profiles and rights, allowing you to operate one ProppFrexx ONAIR instance by multiple password protected users with different settings. The Multi-Studio feature allows you to fully control each studio remotely from any other studio. This includes scheduler and playlist control as well as controlling any remote mixer channel plus a special master and slave mode (incl. remote heartbeat monitoring).

Advertising Management:

The Advertising Management feature is only supported in the Enterprise Edition!
This feature allows you to define and manage all your advertising needs, organize your partners, campaigns and advertising audio, define advertising slots and report what has really being played as the perfect bases for your billing. Advertising playlists are automatically generated and can be integrated into the overlay scheduler. The Advertising Manager comes as an extra tool which allows independent planning from ProppFrexx ONAIR. This also includes the import of external traffic/overlay scheduler log files and the ability to use dynamic embedded overlay containers.
