What Edition are you using? Is it the ENTERPRISE Edition? As the Master/Slave function is only available in the Enterprise Edition. Are you maybe disabling/stopping the scheduler after each playlist is started and before it was closed but did not set the general scheduler Stop Option 'ClosePlaylistAfterStop' ?

Of course, as Playlists created by the scheduler are closed only by the scheduler!
There no command to close those.
Why would that be needed?

I am afraid that this is not a bug. Starting PF with any command line wouldn't change any user and has nothing to do with changing a user at all. I'll take a look to the -master command line though. But note that your statement: 'Fade In at the beginning of the track is not a rule' - is not really true
As already explained your rule is the same as shifting the Next cue point a bit ahead. Your rule wouldn't do anything different when you look to your picture

You might also use the command with any other event or put that on a user button.
Or you create a Reminder within the program scheduler to trigger it every morning automatically.
