Re: Replicating mixer for failover
Ok - so we could basically have the mixer settings identical on the slave PF, but muted - to be unmuted by command if the heartbeat fails

Re: Replicating mixer for failover
I don't think this is a Dante issue - what I'm trying to achieve is a mixer failover, either automatic or manual, so if the primary Propprexx machine mixing audio has to go down for whatever reason, we can switch to a secondary. My question is about how we might, with the required Dante routing in p...

Replicating mixer for failover
I currently use Proppfrexx mainly for TCP/IP controlled audio mixing, but running only one instance introduces a single point of failure. Whilst I can see that Proppfrexx can be operated in master/slave mode, I wonder if this could be used to replicate mixer activities - so if the master were to fai...

Re: AAC and Winamp
From the Proppfrexx manual: "\Winamp : default folder where Winamp DSP plug-ins might be placed into. You might place additional Winamp DSP plug-ins here by yourself." I assumed this is where you would need to see the encoder. I have not touched the encoder setup as this post indicates tha...

Re: AAC and Winamp
Restart didn't resolve - still seeing message: "The selected encoder is not available! Make sure the encoder is properly installed!" I am definitely selecting AAC+ Looking at the Proppfrexx folders I can see that \Winamp is missing - should this be present after Winamp install? Can I creat...

Re: AAC and Winamp
Right - I had that twisted!
AAC+ was shown before I installed Winamp, however, the error message is still the same after install -
"The selected encoder is not available! Make sure the encoder is properly installed!"
Will restart when station is off air...

Re: AAC and Winamp
I installed Winamp v5.666
Only AAC+ is available as an option at present so I imagine a restart is required? Will try when convenient and update you.
Far as I am aware Quicktime will not work on Windows 10/64 - if you know better I'd be happy to find out how it can be done!
