v4.0.1.15 - stable

Post by radio42 »

Version 4.0.1.15 is out!

What's New?
  • new TrackTAGOptions Save MetaData flag!
  • SHOUTcast resp. radionomy compatibility
  • Remote ONAIR Viewer application enhanced
  • new RemoveAll option to playlist added
  • Various smaller optimizations
  • Other smaller bug-fixes
  • stable

New TrackTAGOptions Save MetaData flag!
In the general settings, section 'MetaData/WaveForm' the option 'What Meta Data to Save' has been enhanced by a new 'TrackTAGOptions' flag.
The 'What Meta Data to Save' option by default applies to any meta data being saved to either the audio file's TAG or to the .pfmd file (but not to a .pfp playlist file resp. media library).
The new 'TrackTAGOptions' flag however explicitly defines if the track options should also be saved to the audio file TAGs!
This is a breaking change! Meaning the track options are now by default NOT saved anymore to the audio file TAGs. If you need the track options to be saved to the audio file TAGs, then make sure to check this new option.

Or in other words: the track options are for .pfmd files saved with the 'General' flag, but for audio file's TAG data it is only saved when the 'TrackTAGOptions' flag is set!

SHOUTcast resp. radionomy compatibility
As radionomy is now the owner of Winamp and SHOUTcast, they allow users to use funky password characters (e.g. the '?') for their hosted services. This could have lead to compatibility issues with the original SHOUTcast servers. Which is now fixed.

Remote ONAIR Viewer application enhanced
The Remote Viewer application got a new main menu item 'Stay on Top' to ensure it is always top-most; plus I added to ability to not only connect to a remote server, but optionally also to a local server. Thus I also added 3 commands buttons to which you now can assign any remote AND/OR local server control-commands to invoke.
This e.g. allows you a perfect hand-over from one (remote) PFOA instance to another (local) PFOA instance.

New RemoveAll option to playlist added
In the playlist context-menu under 'Meta Data...' a new 'Remove All Settings..' menu item was added.
This function allows you to choose to remove any (other, beside the already existing 'Clear Cue-Points') track settimgs, e.g. to remove volume-points, hooks, events, options loops etc.
