v3.0.12.6 - stable

Post by radio42 »

Version 3.0.12.6 is out!

What's New?
  • CardWall renamed to CartWall
  • EXEC_SEND_EMAIL bug-fix
  • PLS_CURRENT_AUTOPLAYLIST_SET command enhanced
  • Customizable mixer channel colors
  • Remote Media Library bug-fix
  • Overlay Opener/Closer Track added
  • Playlist Layout restore at UAC change
  • PFL Player restores Hook-Mode
  • Various smaller optimizations
  • Other smaller bug-fixes
  • stable
Note: v3.0.12.6 fixes a migration issue regarding cartwall libraries which was introduced in 3.0.12.5!

CardWall renamed to CartWall
This is a rather fundamental change, as so far the "Cartwall" was misspelled 'Cardwall'!
As such it is now renamed to "Cartwall".
This change also affects any control-commands, system events, routings etc.
However, all should be done/converted automatically. Just make sure, that in the future you are using the correct/renamed control-commands when needed ;-)

PLS_CURRENT_AUTOPLAYLIST_SET command enhanced
So far the command only allows you to set a media library for auto play.
Now the command also allows you to specify a script. Just prepend the keyword "SCRIPT:" with the parameter.
Example:
PLS_CURRENT_AUTOPLAYLIST_SET script:myscriptname

Customizable mixer channel colors
For visually impaired people each mixer channel strip can nor be colorized (see the mixer channel context menu).

Overlay Opener/Closer Track added
The Overlay Scheduler was enhanced and now supports Opener/Closer tracks. These tracks are played at the very beginning resp. end of the overlay.
Beside defining a single audio track, you might now also reference a playlist file (e.g. the standard ProppFrexx .pfp file).
This allows you to also add complete dynamic 'blocks' at the beginning or end of an overlay.
E.g. within a referenced .pfp playlist file you might again use dynamic embedded script entries, reference other playlists or even advert or news container.
This offers much more flexibility when defining your overlays.
Note that Opener/Closer Tracks are only used, if the effective overlay 'Playing' content resolves to any other entries to be played.

I can not add scripts to the new overlay feature, is this a bug?

Okay I see, then I know what I need to do to get it to work.
Thanks for the info, and for the brilliant software.

If you mean the new "Overlay Opener/Closer Track" feature - note the following comment:
"Beside defining a single audio track, you might now also reference a playlist file"

This mean you can (as an Overlay Opener/Closer track) define either a direct Audio-Track (e.g. a .mp3 file) OR a playlist file (e.g. a .pfp file).
But you can NOT directly reference a script! This is not a bug, but by design!

However...you CAN indirectly use Scripts, News, Adverts etc.!
As said above:
E.g. within a referenced .pfp playlist file you might again use dynamic embedded script entries, reference other playlists or even advert or news container.
As such when using a .pfp playlist file, that .pfp playlist file might (as a playlist entry) use a script container entry - as such you can also very easily use and reference Scripts as an Overlay Opener/Closer track.
