Quit -> "stopping Output-Mixers..."

Post by Adger »

Lately when trying to quit PFOA (3.0.11.27) by means of the "X" in the top right of the UI window it asks correctly "...eally want to quit.." but sometimes hangs with "Please wait, trying to quit Output-Mixers..." in the lower left of the UI but refuses to quit by itself.

Invoking quit AGAIN makes PFOA eventually quit.

That sounds like the releasing/freeing (one of) the audio driver(s) failed - or takes extremely long.
So it could be an audio driver issue, since when PF prompts "Please wait, trying to quit Output-Mixers..." the only operation being carried out at that time is to release the initialized/used audio drivers.
Are you using multiple audio drivers? If yes, in which mode (WDM, WASAPI, ASIO)?

That really seems like a driver issue.
However, I tried to optimize the releasing of the output mixers in v3.0.11.28 - may be that helps.
