Post by Dolkis »

I have heard that when we some times using F4 and F5 proppfrexx load songs very wierd and not like I want it to.

Can you look in to this? (its a friends that see this problem, I think he using 2 decks only)

I agree, on 3 occasions while in auto mode while ONAIR is letting the fade out of the song take too long, I go to push F9 or F4 in auto, and the next 2 tracks start at the same time and then over top each other. In other words all 3 decks playing at the same time. I've noticed this as the track you want to get out of is nearing it's end on the time count. So within the lat 10 seconds of the song before the next cue point.

Sounds like different issues?!
However I am not sure what it means when you say it loads songs weird?!
Can you explain this in more detail...
I am also not really able to reproduce the F4 issue.
Why would you issue a play next command while in AUTO mode?

I'm not sure who you are asking, so I'll answer from my point of view. Yes, perhaps my issue is different from the original poster. I may have misread his comment. Anyway, for me, if I'm using auto to do a live presentation, but the song is taking to long to fade, I like to hit the F9 button to start the next track sooner. This has resulted in all other decks starting at the same time over top each other. This has occurred 3 different times.

That indeed sounds weird and should not happen.
Currently I can not reproduce that issue here when testing it, but I'll take a deeper look at it!

Ok, so I did some further testing and can reproduce it almost every time. Let's see if I can explain it well enough.

So, I'm running in auto mode. The current playing track is nearing the end, but the fade out is too long (Before hitting the auto detected cue point). So I want to start the next track immediately, manually by pressing F9. If the playing track gets too close to the auto detected cue points (The yellow line markers) and you hit F9, it will start all loaded players over top each other. This is especially bad when it's a short track like a jingle etc. The closer you get to that yellow line, the more it will happen. And if you push F9/F4 once the track has PASSED the yellow marker line (During the auto fade portion) you will ALWAYS get the next 2 players fire together over top each other.

I hope it will also do this for you when you test it.
