Unable to open Overlay scheduler
Unable to open Overlay scheduler

I am unable to open Overlay Scheduler. And for example until I manually reload or rescan script libraries I am unable to open normal Scheduler too.
What is worng?

Re: Unable to open Overlay scheduler
That sounds strange - I can not reproduce that issue here.
Have you recently changed anything within your setup/configuration, e.g. added new libs, added new overlays, scripts etc.?
That sounds like ProppFrexx is still loading its libraries resp. tries to initialize?
Have you tried rebooting your machine...?

Re: Unable to open Overlay scheduler
I made no changes to anything. Just updates of PF.
I realized PF is busy (red indicator) after start-up but no rescan or reload is done.

Re: Unable to open Overlay scheduler
Is the red busy indicator going 'away' after some time?
However, at startup the following is performed (which also keeps the busy indicator 'red'):
a) Loading/Checking of all VSTs dll-files defined in the VST folder
a) Loading/Checking of all Winamp dll-files defined in the Winamp folder
a) Loading of your current mixer settings
a) Loading of all Media-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
a) Loading of all Cartwall-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
a) Loading of all Script-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
a) Rescan of Folder-Libs (at startup, if defined)
So, it looks like that one of these tasks do effectively fail, got stuck or doesn't return.
The main status bar should actually tell you a bit more where it might 'hang'.

Re: Unable to open Overlay scheduler
Yes, but there is nothing showing up in the status bar. Otherwise I would know what is going on.

Re: Unable to open Overlay scheduler
That is really odd.
The only way to determine what is going wrong is to subsequently disable all the above features - as it seems somehow related to some broken settings in your config...
As such please perform the following:
- close PF
- disable a single feature (see below for details)
- restart PF
...see if that changes things...
If it does NOT:
- close PF
- re-enable the feature
- disable a next feature
- restart PF
...
a) Loading/Checking of all VSTs dll-files defined in the VST folder:
Disable: Rename your VST folder via the Windows Explorer.
Re-Enable: Rename your VST folder back to its original name.
b) Loading/Checking of all Winamp dll-files defined in the Winamp folder
Disable: Rename your Winamp folder via the Windows Explorer.
Re-Enable: Rename your Winamp folder back to its original name.
c) Loading of your current mixer settings
Disable: Rename your currently used '.mixer' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder (e.g. 'Default.mixer')
Re-Enable: Rename your .mixer file back to its original name.
d) Loading of your current layout settings
Disable: Rename your currently used '.layout' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder (e.g. 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.layout')
Re-Enable: Rename your .layout file back to its original name.
d) Loading of all Media-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
Disable: Rename the 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.medialibs' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder
Re-Enable: Rename it back to 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.medialibs'.
e) Loading of all Cartwall-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
Disable: Rename the 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.cardwalllibs' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder
Re-Enable: Rename it back to 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.cardwalllibs'.
f) Loading of all Script-Libraries (playlist, folders etc.)
Disable: Rename the 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.scriptlibs' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder
Re-Enable: Rename it back to 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.scriptlibs'.
g) Program Scheduler:
Disable: Rename the 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.calendar' file within the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder
Re-Enable: Rename it back to 'ProppFrexx ONAIR.calendar'.
h) Overlay Scheduler:
Disable: Rename your configured Advert-Storage-Path folder
Re-Enable: Rename it back to its original name
NOTE/CAUTION:
Before making any of the above change - please make a complete copy of all the above referenced folders!
To make a quick test then you might also create a complete copy of the ProppFrexx AppUserData folder and then rename this folder - this would start PF with all default settings (fresh from scratch)...if PF then starts smooth, try adding in all the original settings...always closer/restart PF in between.
