Synchronize library with FTP
Synchronize library with FTP
Bernd, could I somehow synchronize library (for example particular music library) with FTP folder? This could could be usefull if moderators in our school radio have to use only particular prepared music tracks and they have to download them. Then it would be good to synchronize this library with ftp folder where music files are stored. Hm, good idea?

Re: Synchronize library with FTP
No ProppFrexx itself doesn't offter this.
You might try the Synchronize feature of the ProppFrexx Tagger however, it allows you to synchronize Folders and Sub-Folders - but I am not sure, if that will work with your FTP-Server...you need to try that.
And else you might use a 3rd party FTP-Client tool which offers such a feature (to synchronize Folders via FTP); e.g. 'GoodSync' will do that.

Re: Synchronize library with FTP
Thank you for suggestions. How does it work with ProppFrexx Tagger? There is nothing much said about the synchronization. What is synchronized with what and what folder has higher priority, etc.?

Re: Synchronize library with FTP
In the Tagger you open a Folder to edit/show.
When you now click on the Synchronize button, you can sync this folder with another (remote) folder, e.g. on a different PC.
This syncs all files in the two given folders (from source to destin) - so nothing to be prioritize.
If you check the 'Sync only newer than' option only files newer than this date will be synchronized
