ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
Good morning Bernd,
One thing that has been long bothering me about PFOA is that when setting ACPD cue points, it does not adjust these for gain adjustments. So the cue points for a given track are always set at the same position, no matter whether I crank the gain up, turn it down, or leave it as-is.
In my opinion, it would be desireable for the ACPD algorithm to keep the Gain setting in mind when calculating cue points.
Example:
In Mixing/Fading, I have defined Cue-in and Cue-out to be set at −79 dB, and Next at −30 dB. Now, if I adjust the Gain for a track by, say, +3 dB, these points should then automatically be set at −82 and −33 dB, respectively. Concurrently, if I adjust the Gain to, say, −2 dB, these points should be set at −77 and −28 dB, respectively.
A similar adjustment could be made when using ReplayGain (which I don’t, so I don’t know whether that is not already the case).
I hope you understand what I mean.
Kind regards
Sven

Re: ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
I do have 3.0.11.45—can you tell me where that option is, please?
Re: ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
Seems to work as expected. Thank you.
Re: ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
If you haven't updated to the latest v3.0.11.45 already - pls do so, since this option should be included in that version now already
For ReplainGain there is already an appropriate option existing in the general settings (see General/Audio).
The initial track gain is now automatically been considered in the ACPD.

Re: ACPD: Factor In Metadata Gain Adjustment
Uups, sorry, I meant v3.0.11.46!
The initial track gain is automatically considered (no option needs to be set).
For ReplayGain it is the 'Use ReplayGain in ACPD' option!
