Solved: Remote VoiceTracking through a router
Hello!
I would like to know how to perform voicetracking through a router.
I followed all the indications in the video tutorial but I get an error message to connect.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Remote VoiceTracking through a router
Then some of your network elements is probably blocking the traffic.
The used port number must be opened in your firewall.
Many users do use a router to perform RVT.
Do your server has a static IP?
If it is a local network router you may be need to configure Port-Forwarding on it to reach you local network PC.

Re: Remote VoiceTracking through a router
I opened the port on the firewall. The IP is dynamic, so update it before connecting.
But I still can not establish the connection.
I receive the following message:
"Connection Error. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond..."

Then the client cannot connect to your server.
Is your server sitting on a local network behind a DSL Router?
If yes see my above comment about the Port-Forwarding.
Have you defined that accordingly on your Router?
note: your DSL Router establishes a connection to your ISP which provides the dynamic IP address for the outer world. But also manages your local network with your local IP addresses.
So with Port-Forwarding you need to tell your Router to link certain TCP traffic from the outer world IP to your inner network IP address.
