Fixtime

Post by Bert de Groot »

Hello Bernd,

In version 3 of proppfrexx was Fix Time Elements, was it removed in version 4?
I need the function to broadcast advertising xx:15 and xx:45.

No, Fix Time Elements (FTE) still exist in v4 of course as well !

What v4 Edition are you using?
Note, that FTEs are only enabled in the Professional or Enterprise Edition.

I have the premium version. In a few months we can upgrade to the pro version.
Is there another option to broadcast the advertisement twice every hour?

I stream via radionomy.
That is free, but advertising must be broadcast twice a hour.
I do not have 250 listeners either. It is pure hobby what I do.

Well, I guess you would also need to upgrade to the Light-Commercial version - as I assume you are getting payed for your adverts?!
Currently you have purchased the Non-Commercial version, which assumes:
- you are a private entity
- you are NOT making money directly or indirectly
- you do not have more than 250 peak listeners

The normal way to play adverts is of course through the Overlay Scheduler and the Advert & News Module - meaning using the Enterprise Edition!

I see.
In your current version you can only 'script' tracks - but as radionomy gives you a 20 minute time window I assume this is accurate enough.
E.g. when you assume an average track lenght of 4 minutes you might place your advert-tigger tracks at script-lines 4 and 11 or 5 and 12 for example.

I did some test, and did the following, which seems to work.
Every hour divided into four parts of a quarter of an hour. the second and fourth part starts with advertising. See picture.
