rules problem

Post by mdegroot »

I have 4 versions of the "Top of the hour" Jingle. (morning, afternoon, evening and night version).
I tried to play the correct version using rulesets but it doesnt seem to work.

What I did :

- Added a media library called toth with the 4 jingles in it.
- Created 4 Rules, each with a different start and end hour
- Applied the correct rule to the 4 files using the tag editor. (tab other)
- Correctly saved the adjustments
- In the script, I start with a "random line" to the media library with the 4 jingles in it.
- I added the options : suppreshistorycheck and suppressaddhistory to that line.

When I checked it out, the rules are being ignored and I'm hearing the "night" jingle in the afternoon etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you please show your exact rules you applied to all the audio files (at best 4 screenshots of the 4 rule sets) - so that I can try to reproduce it here. Thanks

I have also morning, afternoon and evening TOTH jingles. I play them as a overlay and that is the easiest way to schedule the TOTH for me and it’s work nice.

We are using overlays to start the toth here too.
But we have a lot of versions.

We have a neutral toth (without News) but with 3 different ads next to it. ( 3 different toth scripts)
Then we have a toth with national news and one with local news. And for every toth there is also the announcement of morning, evening, etc.

So thats the reason why I wanted to use rules in stead of making 20 different toth scripts.

I hope Bernd can find a sollution.

There seems to be indeed a logical issue with the Rule Set - I'll check this to confirm...

But I see in your screenshot, that you have tagged the audio tracks in the ProppFrexx Tagger (Meta Data Editor).
Note, that in case you defined and assigned the Rule Sets in the ProppFrexx Tagger - you would also need to define the same Rule Sets in ProppFrexx ONAIR!

The first time i clicked the rules button in the tagger, it asked for the rulesets file. I selected the file in the on air folder and the 4 rules I Made in proppfrexx were then visible in the tagger. So thats ok.

I already did the test by adding the rules without the tagger, but in the explorer window in proppfrexx .

But it stil doesnt work.
