First of all, happy new year Bernd.

Is it possible to use an extended artist check so an artist doesn't return in the next 10 songs, without affecting the jingles?
Because it's like this is causing our problems. We had set some global rules, with the idea that they were only affecting the music, not the jingles.
But as the jingles (or items) are randomly chosen from a media library, it's like the rules are also causing jingles to be skipped.
Is there a possibilty to exclude jingles from restrictions we only want to have on music?

Grts

You would need to TAG your Jingle filess accordingly, by assigning them a dedicated Media Entry Type and then you can exclude that Entry Type form the global check - see the general settings, section Logging/History - Global Song History - Exclude.
If you haven't tagged them, but all your Jingles are in a dedicated media lib, you can assign a default Entry Type to that media lib.

Our jingles are all tagged and have “jingle” checked as media type. The media type “jingle” is already excluded from history playlist and excluded from global song history

I am not sure where you all have set a history, how your scripts are defined, what options you use etc. but if you tagged all correctly and excluded the Jingles, than for sure no global script history is checked.
