Instant recorder. no over writing warning

Post by phonic »

After watching and seeing what people are doing in the studio yesterday, I think I’ve found one of the reasons for the blank audio files I posted about before with using Instant Recorder.

It would appear no warning is showing about overwriting the file when they press stop multiple times by mistake using the touch screen. So they are starting and stopping the recording again and thus over writing the recording they’ve just done by mistake.

Can you please add a warning box like you’ve done when you try to close without saving and says something like: The current recording is not saved. Clicking record will overwrite and delete this recording. PROCEED / CANCEL.

That could indeed be a possibility ;-)
I will add a dialog to ask, if they want to save the previous recording - in case!

A v4.0.5.39-Beta (so use "Check for Beta-Versions..." to update) is available, which adds that 'warning'.

I’ve just downloaded on my pc before I deploy to the studio and does the job nicely. Thanks!

As the feature request I’ve been asked if a pause option could be added in an upcoming version? The idea being able to pause the recording when interviewing or doing a pre-record and continuing without making multi files.

Wonderful. I will look forward to that being implemented.

Any idea when the .39 beta move to stable so I can roll it out?

I noticed .40 stable is available with a pause button on the instant recorder. I have quickly updated the studio, and working well.

Thank you!
