memory use
memory use
Bernd, Is the memory use of more than 900MB (very high) normal? I am experiencing a slower performance of PF despite reinstalling it. Computer is not used for other purposes (I7 and 8MB).
Re: memory use
Yes, 900MB is normal. But it depends also on your Media Library use and others, like e.g. using certain VSTs.
If you want to reduce that, consider using the Media Library Server, as explained here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1014#p3914
The CPU usage is however pretty high. Could it be, that you are using the StereoTool VST with maybe pretty complex settings?
If yes, try removing this and see, if that removes the slower performance.

Re: memory use
I do indeed use StereoTool VST with complex settings. Meanwhile a few older versions are trying where it is striking that the most recent use more MBs. I am going to work with the MLS (I have been using MLS with RadioDJ for a while). Thanks for the reply
Re: memory use
How could you have used the ProppFrexx MLS with RadioDJ??

Re: memory use
I was of the opinion that I could use myqsl also in PF, but apparently that was misunderstood by me
Re: memory use
You can use MySQL as a meta data source, but this is not recommended and would have nothing to do with the use of a Media Library Server (MLS).
