Selecting a profile in sound settings.
Selecting a profile in sound settings.
Hi,
Is it possible to select a different sound profile for recording shows for example. Record at 192 for on-demand and 320 for repeat broadcasts?
At the moment I've made the default in Recording settings a mp3 320 profile and records from two different out channels one without broadcast processing for repeat broadcasts and one with broadcast processing as aired for on-demand shows. But would like to also select the a different profile so on-demand is recorded at a lower bitrate ready for OnDemand.
Also, one other question: is it possible to have a Cue-Sheet(.pfc file) when recording using the Instant recorder?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Selecting a profile in sound settings.
You can select a different profile for Manual Recording (using the REC button of the mixer channel; or the MIXER_OUT/INPUT_REC_xxx commands). As well as for Automatic Recording - which is always on in case you activated the option with that mixer channel.
In addition you can manually change the manual Encoder Settings by making a right-click on the REC button.
No, the Instant Recorder cannot create a cue-sheet.

Re: Selecting a profile in sound settings.
Thanks for your reply.
I've had another look, but could not find any MIXER_OUTPUT_REC option to set a different profile.
I'm currently using:
MIXER_OUTPUT_REC_ON B-OUT|${progcurrentname}-OnDemand-${yyyy}-${MM}-${dd}
MIXER_OUTPUT_REC_ON C-OUT|${progcurrentname}-BroadcastHD-${yyyy}-${MM}-${dd}
What I'm looking for is
MIXER_OUTPUT_REC_ON profile320| mixer-channe1l| broadcast-recording.mp3
MIXER_OUTPUT_REC_ON profile192| mixer-channel2| ondemand-recording.mp3

Re: Selecting a profile in sound settings.
As said there are only 2 different profiles for Auto and Manual Recording.
But you cannot record in parallel with the MIXER_OUTPUT_REC_ON using 2 different profiles!

Re: Selecting a profile in sound settings.
It would be a useful option. Could this feature be added in the future?
