Script Transitions

Hi Bernd,

Purchased a new computer and back at it. All scripts are built and now testing with the scheduler. I have noticed 2 issues that i'm unsure how to fix.

1. The next scheduled script starts 4 minutes early most times despite another 4 minute or less song left in the previous script. How do I control this? I don't see how to at the script level and not sure how in the general settings.
Desired result: Want scripts to finish as close to the top of hour as possible and willing to let it run 1 minute short/long before the next script would force fade the track playing and start the new script.

2. Regarding commercials, I notice that each stopset is loading two times in the playlist.
Conditions:
a. I have the stopsets scheduled in the script at :21 & :54. Those script lines are set to MODE: Advert, Entry: 00 21 STOPSET (which is selected from the created slots).
b. In the overlay scheduler, for all scheduled stopsets created, I checked the option "AsPlaylistInsert". I was thinking that this would load the commercials into the playlist INSTEAD of the upcoming overlays (which it appears it did), however also in the playlist is a container i guess from the overlay with the same commercial. I believe it was marked Suppress Overlay.
Desired Result: Want the commercials for each stopset to show in the playlist but not in duplicate.

Thank you for your help with these issues.

Derek

1.) It is actually not a next script which started, but a next program that is started!
It is always a program (see the program scheduler) which is started and which stops the previous program.
The program scheduler entry defines the transition and when it is started etc. - click on the '?' icon at the top right of the program scheduer entry dialog to get a detail help about all options.
Or see here for a tutorial about the Program Scheduler: http://www.proppfrexx.radio42.com/forum ... f=5&t=1018

2.) I don't know what you mean by 'stopset' - but assume you mean one advert file?!
Nor do I know your script or overlay scheduler entry settings? And how you have scheduled/defined/used your script resp. overlay.
But I am pretty sure, that this is just a configuration issue.
Can you please post the related configuration screenshots of the related overlay and script to see what might be your issue.

You have defined/used the advertslot twice!
Once referenced from the script and once referenced from the overlay!
Thus it is used twice in the resulting playlist!
One entry is coming from the overlay, which is resolved as a playlist insert and the 2nd entry is coming from the execution of the script.

So you should remove one! As if you define two in parallel you get two ;-)
I suggest removing the Advert script-lines!
