Integrate Shoutcast status into PFOA?
Hi Bernd,
As you probably know, the Shoutcast server on windows runs from a command line. Is there some way to check/integrate the CLI-output into PFOA?
I've created a user command invoking EXEC_SHELL_COMMAND to start the server. This works fine. It opens a command prompt with the Shoutcast status. I would like this command prompt to be docked in PFOA. Would this (or some similar solution) be possible?
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Frank

Theoretically everything is possible.
But I don’t see any really value for this.
PF is not responsible for starting or stopping a streaming server. There is also no value in getting any standoutput captured from the CLI, as SHOUTcast has a web interface to collect all valuable info from, which PF already use.
So what information are you looking for?

Re: Integrate Shoutcast status into PFOA?
Hi Bernd,
I was just looking for a way to monitor the Shoutcast CLI output and thought perhaps it would be already possible.
You're right this is not really PFOA's task and you definitely should not dedicate precious development time to this.
Cheers,
Frank
