ShouldSuppressOverlay with overlay as playlist insert ?
ShouldSuppressOverlay with overlay as playlist insert ?
Hi,
I have a problem with overlays...
An overlay event played with option "insert as playlist element" take the option ShouldSuppressOverlay.
And i can't find a way to remove this option.
The overlay event is set to play an audio file.
I tried to drop the file manualy in a playlist and there is not that track option in that case.
My problem is that the first overlay (as playlist insert) is followed by a second overlay (played as classical overlay) and this second one is ignored...
The error :
WARNING: Overlay 'AAA' was suppressed (Current Track 'BBB' in '19-22 B @ 27-10-20 19:00:00' contains ShouldSuppressOverlay).
Thank you for your advices

Re: ShouldSuppressOverlay with overlay as playlist insert ?
This a behavior which is by design!
Per program you can not mix embedded overlay containers and regular overlays! It is always either play all overlays via the overlay player or all as embedded containers! As said this is per program.
Only this can ensure, that all overlays are played and no entry is played twice.

Thank you for the information !
So it should be possible to have a schedule like this ?
- 19h00 Overlay player (as insert) - Duration ~1h -- Playing a single file
- 20h00 Overlay player (as insert) - Duration ~1h -- Playing a single file

Re: ShouldSuppressOverlay with overlay as playlist insert ?
Sorry but that's not working ...
I tried and the second overlay event (also with "as playlist insert" option) is also ignored :
31-10-20 20:59:01: WARNING: Overlay '_____' was suppressed (Current Track '1 entries - ______' contains ShouldSuppressOverlay).
Is there any way to remove that behavior ?

Re: ShouldSuppressOverlay with overlay as playlist insert ?
After a deep look in options, I found the solution for our use :
The option "ForceUsageNeverSuppress" ignore the "ShouldSuppressOverlay" option.
The option "ForceUsageNeverSuppress" ignore the "ShouldSuppressOverlay" option.
