Encoder Profiles (used to specify the format of the encodin)

ProppFrexx ONAIR supports any number of Encoder Profiles!
Encoder Profiles are used whenever encoding or recording comes into place. Instead of always specifying the encoder settings (like bitrate, mode, options etc.) each time, an Encoder Profile keeps these settings like a template.
Also when you setup any Streaming Server within ProppFrexx ONAIR you must choose an Encoder Profile within the Streaming Server Configuration to specify the format you want to stream.

To setup Encoder Profiles do the following:
1. Open the general "Settings" dialog (F3)
2. Select the "Encoding/Recording" section
3. Click on the "Define Encoder Profiles..." button

In this dialog you can define any Encoder Profile.

In the upper list all available profiles are listed. Select an Encoder Profile here and the current profile settings are listed below.
- Click on "New" to create a new Encoder Profile.
- Click on "Save" to save the current Encoder Profile.
- Click on "Delete" to remove the current Encoder Profile.

In the lower list all current profile settings are shown for each supported type of encoder.
Double-Click on an entry (or select an entry and click on "Encoder Settings...") to edit the specific options of that selected encoder.
When you are done click on the "Save" button above to save all your profile settings.

Streaming:
It might be useful to create various Encoder Profiles, e.g. one for high-quality encoding or high-speed streaming and others for lower quality encoding.
For each different streaming format you want to use with a Streaming-Server you must create a dedicated Encoder Profile.
E.g. if you want to support one streaming server with 64 kbps and another one with 128 kbps - you should define two encoder profiles accordingly.

As an Encoder Profile stores all settings for all available encoder types, you always select the encoder type together with the encoder profile to identify its settings.

With PF you can stream in AAC+.

AACplus requires Winamp to be installed on your system to not infringe any AACplus license.
