Intro times are called "Ramp" in ProppFrexx ONAIR.
ProppFrexx supports 2 independed Ramp cue-points Ramp and Ramp2 - e.g. if track have alternative intros.
A progress bar will show you the remaining time left until any of the 2 ramp points are reached while playback.
For convenience you can define the Ramp cue-points at various places in ProppFrexx ONAIR.
a) Using the PFL Player:
You can invoke the PFL Player by e.g. double-clicking on an entry in the playlist window or by pressing F2.
In the PFL Player you will see a list of buttons called: "In", "Full", "Ramp", "Outro", "Fade", "Next", "Out".
With these buttons you can set the related cue-points:
Left-Click: If not set, the cue point is set to the current position. If set, playback starts at this position to monitor the current cue point.
Right-Click: Remove this cue point.
Press the ALT key to set/clear the Ramp2 position.
As said, the "Ramp" button defines the Intro times.
You might use the large JogWheel for perfect positioning of the cue-points when in cueing mode (e.g. press 'Play' to start playback and press 'Play' again to go into the cueing mode).
b) Directly in the DJ Player:
The DJ Players (the players of the playlist window) can be shown in different sizes (Small, Medium, Full).
The size of the DJ Players can be changed at any time by using the little 'arrow icon' on the left bottom of the DJ Players. Right click on the 'arrow icon' to display a player size menu.
When the DJ Players are in full-size the same elements are shown as in the PFL Players. You'll find a button called "CP". Click on this "CP" button to open the cue-point window. In there you can define the cue-points and of course the "Ramp" position as well.
Again you might set the Ramp2 cue-point via the "Ramp" button by pressing the ALT key when clicking the "Ramp" button.
c) Directly in the WaveForm:
By default the DJ and PFL Player display a graphical WaveForm of the audio track.
You might right-click on the WaveForm display to open a context-menu. In this context-menu you will find a sub-menu called "Cue-Points". Open this sub-menu and you'll see a list of cue-points. You might directly edit/set the cue-points from within this menu by clicking in on item.
The "Ramp"/"Ramp2" menu item defines the Intro times.
Note: A single click on the cue-point menu-entry selects it - click again to set the selected entry to the current position - and click again to remove the selected cue-point entry.
d) Directly in the TAG Editor.
You can invoke the TAG Editor either from the playlist window context menu (right-click on the playlist window) or by pressing the "Alt+3" key at any time.
The TAG editor has a special page called "Event Data". When you go to that "Event Data" page you can also directly define all cue-points here.
Whenever a "Ramp"/"Ramp2" cue-point is set, the ProppFrexx ONAIR players display a progress bar when the player position is between the Cue-In and the Ramp/Ramp2 position.
If a Ramp2 point is set, the progress bar also shows the progress related to these 2 Into times.
In addition ProppFrexx ONAIR offers a new "Timecode display" directly underneath the DJ Players in the playlist window.
This "Timecode display" now also offers optimized control of the ramp times and remaining times.
Persistently storing these Cue-Points:
In order to save your defined cue-points persistently (or any other defined meta data) you have the following options:
a) save the meta data in a separate .pfmd file along with the audio file
b) save the meta data directly in a special ProppFrexx TAG inside the audio file
c) save the meta data in a .pfp playlist file
for a) Click on the 'Save MetaData File (.pfmd)' button to save the meta data in a separate file. The file name will have the same and location as your audio file plus the extension '.pfmd'.
The .pfmd file is an xml file containing all your meta data.
for b) Click on the 'Save MetaData TAG' button to save the meta data directly inside the TAG data of your audio file (a special user defined ProppFrexx TAG will be used for that, holding the same xml data).
This way you are sure to keep the meta data directly inside the audio file and no extra file is created.
If you are only using .pfp playlist file based media libraries you don't need to save the meta data as explained for a) and b) - as you can directly save and change the .pfp file(s).
