Cuepoints change after use of voicetrack

Post by andrerotgans »

Hi All,

I just notice a strange behavior I've not seen before. I use a top-of-the-hour, with a fixed next cue set to it. Works fine. However : I used the voice track module and this has set a next cue on a different point. I thought that cues set by the voicetrack module didn't interfere with normal cues. But : when I open a new playlist, the next cue in the top-of-the-hour is set to the place used in the voicetrackmodule ?

Hi Bernd,

Thanks, forgot about that. I skipped the Auto Save Meta Data option for voice tracking.

There are no different or specific cue-points. VoiceTracking just uses the same cue-points.
And of course, VT might change the cue-points (as you set them manually during VT) - all this behaviour hasn't changed at all.
However, VoiceTracking (and even others) ONLY change the cue-points for the tracks within the current playlist (and doesn't persist them permanently) - except:
- you saved the meta data manually (e.g. via the TAG Editor or PFL Player)
- you have one of the 'Auto Save Meta Data...' options enabled (see general settings, section 'MetaData/WaveForm')
