Remove all overlays created by an advert pattern wizard

Post by andrerotgans »

Hi Bernd,

Is there a way to remove all overlays created by an advert pattern wizard, without having to delete them manually one by one ? This to make it a little bit easier to experiment with things. Right now I (if I don't forget....) create a snapshot of my VM, but as you can image I sometimes forget. It's a pain in the bum to delete 100+ overlays by hand ;)

It's no problem if that action deletes all overlays (so news and manually created ones also)

Regards,

André

All overlay entries are stored within the resp. calendar as configured.
As such you can copy that .calendar file to make a backup.
After your tests you can simply restore the .calendar backup file.

However the Advert Pattern Wizard might also create related Slots.
This is done within the 'Slot' sub-folder of your Advert-Storage-Path.
As such you might backup this folder as well.

I can't find a slot sub-folder.
Only a slots.cfg file.

Uups, sorry, it is the "slots.cfg" file - not a sub-folder!
So basically just backup and restore both of these files:
- slots.cfg
- Overlay.calendar
