D&R Webstation Faderstart

Post by Jesperaussie »

Hello,

I want to use the D&R Webstation in combination with ProppFrexx and utilise the fader start, but I have no clue on how to do this.

Kind regards,
Jesper

As far as I know, does the D&R Webstation use exactly the same interface as the D&R Airlite.
As such you should be able to use the GPIO client's D&R section.

More info can be found here:

A sample mapping of a user which also explains on how to use it can be found here:

Well, I tried to use Benjamin's tutorial, copied exactly as said in the video and tried to adapt it to my setup, but for some reason the commands don't seem to work. It may be due to the fact that I can't get the GPIO client to connect on the main tab. Is there a specific port this needs to be on?

And this TCP port should also be 9042?

Ah okay. Great thanks!

Is there a way to read the IO-states to create the event-mapping for faderstart?

Yes, you can either use the 'Monitor...' button in order to learn about the events or in the maping.
OR you can use the 'Record' button in the D&R Airlite Event Mapping dialog to record/receive any incomming I/O state changes.

I think this might be the problem then. I'm not seeing any IO messages in the Monitor window, and record doesn't seem to work either.

Then you should please contact your D&R support for help. I had the info from D&R, that the Webstation uses the same DLL interface as the Airline.
Are you using that interface in the GPIO client?

You can set the GPIO Extension Service Port to any you like. Just the default is 9042.
The only thing, which is importat is, that your use this port also in the GPIO-Client application in order to connect.

Yes, you need to enable the GPIO extension service in the general settings, section GPIO/Remoting.
This will by default use port 9042.
Note, that the authorization password is the same as defined in the same seciton (at the top) under TCP RemoteControl.
