Smart timing

Post by Radiofreak »

Hi we have every hour the news and wheather scheduld. Now every time at the end of the hour there is playing a song for example about 20sec or 1 minute and than the news breaks in at the TOTH. Is there a way to let PF make a calculation so there is no starting a song for example at 12:59hours? Thank you..

Is your TOTH (news) scheduled at a fixed time?!
If yes, what else would you like to play at that time instead of a Song in the case that the remaining time is only 20 sec. ?

Have you tried the TryEnsureExactLength program option? This option will try to select the final songs of a playlist so that it ends with the defined program end time as exact as possible.

I have it scheduled fixed time. Maybe instrumental track at the end.

Now i have set the TryEnsureExactLength for a view hours and i will let it run and see if it works for me.

Oki, but make sure to use the option with the program which runs before your TOTH/fixed next program.

I guess you agree, that „maybe an instrumental track“ isn’t something which a computer can estimate Motörhead all users want ;-)

I agree Bernd it was only a answer to your question but i also know that it is impossible. You can’t get always what you want, like Mick jagger says :D

Thanks again for your help.
