4.0.0.9 update

Having problems with the upgrade to 4.0.0.9. After the update proppfrexx freezes on the flash screen - setting up mixer ...

i deleted the default.mixer from the config folder ... the program did start - but the players wouldn't play ... help ...

Nothing has changed within ProppFrexx with respect to the VST host implementation, not even between v3 and v4 - except, that the 64-bit version of ProppFrexx now requires the 64-bit plugin version - so then I can only assume, that the "Waves" plugin behaves differently between their 32- and 64-bit version.

Then please check your sound card devices. It sounds that ProppFrexx couldn't find any?
Have you checked your mixer settings?
Eg. Double click in a mixer channel name to take a look what sound device is selected!

As already many users are using the v4.0.0.9 I assume it is something local.

ok - i found where the problem lies ... after i reset default.mixer settings the program loaded ... when i added a VST effect to the mixer chain i got the error message below. After restarting the program it freezes on the flash screen at the creating mixer stage ...

Which VST effect is it that you added?
So it looks like a VST issue then...

A bit more research revealed (due to the provided info above), that this is indeed a VST issue not being fully compliant with the specs.
However, the above exception should anyhow not happen.

A new v4.0.0.10-beta is available (“Check for Beta-Versions…” under the blue question mark icon at the very top right) to fix that.

I use Waves plug-ins. Never had that error prior to 4.0.0.9 though.

just updated to 4.0.0.13 and the issue is fixed ... thanks Bernd
