Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
Hi Bernd,
Something strange; normally the suspended program, current program and next program are visible within the Scheduler Control Ribbon Page.
But when I log in as an admin the Scheduler Control Ribbon Page becomes empty.
After log off as admin the Scheduler Control Ribbon stays empty...
How is this possible?

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
That could be the trigger, but it isn't.
We have 12 GB RAM memory in this PC (only with ProppFrexx installed).
ProppFrexx use 3 GB when I switch from admin to standard account; besides the system use only 0,1% CPU power.
Reboot PC or restart ProppFrexx isn't a solution.
We have this "problem" since the first install of ProppFrexx last year. So the people can work with it, but it's just something "not beautiful"

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
That could explain it we'll, as PF is a 32bit application!

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
May be you have a system issue?
May you ran (almost) out-of-memory?
does the issue persist, if you restart ProppFrexx or reboot your machine?

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
A new v3.0.13.10 is available which should fix that issue.
It was indeed a bug - which was unfortunately introduced by a bug in one of the user interface libs I am using. That bug existed in a previous version and was already been fixed. However, a ribbon layout which had been saved with that previous version generated that issue. This has now also been auto-correct and only happened, if UAC was enabled. Was a bit hard to find...and had nothing to do with 32-bit vs. 64-bit!

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
OK, now I see...
So PFOA can only see 4 GB RAM...?
Will there ever be a 64-bit application of PFOA?

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
Currently there are no plans, as this would also mean:
- no VST32 support
- no Winamp DSP support
- no Velleman, IO-Warrior, D&R Airence etc. support
etc.
There are unfortunately still many 32 bit dependencies.
Also there is no real advantage!
The only advantage is using more memory, but when using the MLS (which is a 64bit app) there is also absolutely no need.
As such there are currently only disadvantages for a 64bit version.
But that of course might change in the future...

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
OK
So the issue in our Scheduler Control Ribbon Page has to do with "low" memory because of the 32-bit PFOA application which sees only a maximum of 4 GB?

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
No, I am not saying this - I was just explaining, why ProppFrexx is currently still a 32-bit app.
I still need figure out what else could cause this behavior...I am just checking this...

Re: Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
So it was a good question about the Scheduler Control Ribbon Page
And yes I really believe it was hard to find.
I work daily with PFOA / MLS to create a stable workflow for our people; so when I see something strange I ask you
Keep on the good work Bernd!
