v3.0.14.1 - stable
Posted: 03 Jul 2014 21:59
Version 3.0.14.1 is out!
What's New?
Rescan Performance of Media Libs optimized
The rescan performance has again be optimized for parallel search and find operations.
In addition a new 'Suppress Initial Rescan' option has been added to the MLS, which as the name suggests suppresses the initial rescan.
You can now also disable the 'Use UNC Paths' and 'Use Absolute Paths' options in the MLS.
They are no longer required for remote operation and are now still there to define how the local media lib playlist entries should be saved (exactly like for PFOA). So for best compatibility it is advised to use the same settings in PFOA and the MLS.
Entry Statistics moved to MLS
Before his version the entry statistics have been kept only onto the playout system (ProppFrexx ONAIR, PFOA).
With this version the entry statistics are (also) kept directly on the MLS.
Meaning, if you are using a remote media library from within PFOA, that related entry statistics (play counter and last played) are maintained on the MLS being used.
Whereas all locally defined media libraries are maintained directly on the PFOA instance.
The entry statistics are persistently saved to a .entrystats file, located in the related AppUserData folder.
E.g.:
PFOA : C:\Users\Bernd\AppData\Roaming\radio42\ProppFrexx ONAIR\3.0\ProppFrexx ONAIR.entrystats
MLS: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\radio42\ProppFrexx MediaLibraryServer\3.0\ProppFrexx MediaLibraryServer.entrystats
Both files have an equal content, i.e. you might migrate your local PFOA file by just copying it over to the MLS location and rename it accordingly.
