Low volume on mixer out

Post by WickedSpins23 »

Hi, this problem has just started today and not sure why. It was fine last night when I did a show but today when playing a track the levels on the mixer for the Out are only reaching halfway. Volume slider is fully up. I have just installed the latest version of Audacity and wondering if that has interfered with ProppFrexx sound settings.

Volume Levels for Play and PFL are fine it's just on the OUt.

Any help and advise would be much appreciated

The only way to set the volume in ProppFrexx is the Mixer Section (Faders) - or in the general settings, section Player Settings and click on the 'Initial Output Volume...'. Have you changed that 'accidentally'?
OR have you activated in the General section the ReplayGain mode?

Else I assume, you might have lowered the volume level of the sound card (have you checked your windows sound mixer)? But I don't know, what Audacity is doing, but I am not aware of anything interfering.

Thanks for the reply Bernd

I have checked settings and all seems to be in order, replay gain is off, check the soundcard setting and nothing seems out of place there. hmmm this strange

Then it could not really be a ProppFrexx issue I am afraid.
You might try to reboot you PC, as. Don’t know what Audacity did?!

I will keep investigating but for now, I have found a workaround by turning on the EQ on the Out channel and turning up the Amp slider.

Sussed it, the apply master volume check box was selected in the Output Device Coniguration

Yeah, all the fader sliders were up to full. The apply master volume check box doesn't change the positions of the sliders.

But in that case the Master volume slider must have been lowered.
The check box alone wouldn't reduce any volume.

But in the end, I am glad you found the issue.
