Did i read somewhere that certain aspexcts of the software can be controlled by certain Daw controllers such as Mackie?
eg. the virtual faders by phsical ones or volume points in the segue tracks?

No, not all aspects can be controlled by remote control units.
Eg. faders can be controlled, but the segue editor has limited remote capabilities, eg. volume points can not be edit by any remote protocol.

For details, see the user manual appendix. The list of available control-commands, which might be triggered remotely is fully listed there.

ok so i found some commands for setting the mackie fader in the manual. i'm assuming you'd use the function within the script associated with the fader you want to tie it to. but supposing i want to read the value of say fader 1 of the mcu and set the vauloe of the voice tracking fader on propfrexx to match. what would function would i use and where would i put the script?

also i want to be able to turn the channel on or off with a button on the mcu

ok so how would a read the value of a fader of the mcu and set a specific fader to the same value accordingly. and where would i put the script to poll the fader values of the mcu?
