ProppFrexx user interface disappears

Post by Knarrenheinz »

Hi Bernd,

When I open the Event Editor (CP) and remove the Cue Points from a song in one of the DJ players and then close that window, the ProppFrexx user interface disappears. ProppFrexx keeps running, and the user interface of the previous used application (Acrobat, Outlook, Chrome, Edge, …) appears.

It also happens when I double click a song in the playlist to open it into the PFL-player. When I then remove the Cue Points and close the PFL-player, the ProppFrexx user interface disappears for a fraction of a second but restores itself.

Unfortunately i am not able to reproduce that here.
How are you removing the cue points eg. fro the PFL Player? Do you right-click on the ACPD button, rondo you manually do that for each cue-point and right-click on each on or do you also open the eve editor within the PFL Player?

And does the user interface always restore in the end?
And what exact version are you using?

I'm using the "Remove All" button in the lower right corner of the PFL-player.
In the window that then pops up I select "Yes" to Remove All Track Settings.
Then I close the PFL-player with the little cross in the upper right corner.
After doing this ProppFrexx disappears and the previously used application is visible for a fraction of second.

Yes, in case of the PFL-player the user interface restores every time, but not when I remove the Cue Points via the DJ-player.

I'm using ProppFrexx ONAIR Professional v4.4.0.4.

I could now reproduce your issue.
Unfortunately it seems, that this is a bug in the underlying UI library I am using. So I reported it to the vendor, but I need to wait til they confirm and fix the issue, which might take some time, I am also on holiday the next 4 weeks, so it will take until this issue is really fixed. I am sorry.

Bernd,

You don't have to apology for this! It's just a minor thing that doesn't have any effect on the operation of ProppFrexx.

Fixing bugs takes time. A lot of people think that fixing software problems works like ordering something from Amazon. Ordered today, on your doorstep tomorrow. This is not how it works! I know this from other professional software that I use. The most important is that it gets fixed in the end.

Have a nice and well deserved month of vacation! 8-)
