Windows 8/.Net v4.5 compatibility bug-fix
This version is finally fully compatible with the new .Net v4.5 Framework and as such with Windows 8.
Auto-Save GlobalHistory/Statistics added
The global song history as well as the global entry statistics is now automatically saved in the background every so often (actually with every 5 updates).
As such you should not loose any changes even in case of a machine crash (or at least only the last 5 updates).
Segue-Editor is now allowed to stay opened
The Segue-Editor window is now allowed to stay opened (and was redisigned to the new ribbon toolbar layout).
In addition a new 'Auto-Update Segue-Editor' option has been added, which further allows you to automatically track the currently selected track of the current playlist.
If that option is not enabled, you can manually update the Segue-Editor view.
Hooks are now available as a playlist column
A new playlist column has been added to show the hook cue-points of a track.
New 'Use ReplayGain in ACPD' option added
So far the ACDP (Automatic Cue Point Detection) was based on the original audio sample data not considering any ReplayGain value.
With the above new option enabled, ACDP now considers the track's ReplayGain value with its calculation, which should result in more accurate and comparable results.
Optimized UI speed (async processing)
A major task for this release was to even more decouple any processing tasks from the user interface (mainly within the playlist) for a more perfectly fluent and freeze-free UI at any time.
Restore of window layout optimized (in a changed multi-monitor environment)
In certain multi-monitor environments where the number of available screen changes over time or suddenly there was a chance to loose your current windows layout, resulting in disappeared panels. This has now been fixed.
Optimized Look-Ahead read cache (when using slow devices)
When working with slower I/O devices (like USB harddisks) a new look ahead read cache has been introduced to minimize the chance of a stuttering audio output.
However, bear in mind, that in parallel, multi audio processing mostly the speed of your I/O devices is the bottleneck and not your CPU, as your I/O subsystem must be able to deliver the audio file data fast enough...
For the next release we again mostly focus on new features...
-----
v3.0.11.14 fixes the bugs which have sadly been introduced with the v3.0.11.13!
Namely:
- window position restore
- initial cardwall exception
