Loading the news dynamically
Hi there, we've been running Proppfrexx for quite a bit now and are very happy with it. One thing however, we couldn't figure out, but we finally know why. Here's our problem: The news gets played exactly at the hour, every hour, but when it plays, after a second or two, it stutters once, and at the...

Migrating cue points from heavily outdated playout software
Hi there, We've been running Proppfrexx for a while, but we never imported the cue points from our old system. Proppfrexx does a pretty fair job in mixing the tracks anyway, but there's always room for improvement. Especially if we want to let the jingles run through the song that's just starting. T...

Using a countdown timer
Hi everyone, We're nearly ready with the deployment of Proppfrexx as our automation system and mainly very satisfied with the product. We do have a question for our live programming, considering that some of our DJ's are a bit older and have difficulty to read what's on screen. Specifically, it's ha...

Re: Question about playing a random news item
We will test this out tonight, thank you for the prompt response!
Quick question though: With this solution, is it possible to put a soundbed in it? Just on the news, not on the opener/closer jingles.

Question about playing a random news item
Hi there, we have a question about overlaying a random news item. We already have our regular national news overlays at the start of every hour, which always plays a pre-determined mp3 file (our news loader, an app by our news provider, constantly replaces that mp3 file with the latest news) and thi...

Re: Why am I getting mono sound when I use an ASIO driver?
Thanks for the quick reply already, it's commendable! However, I'm not talking about the input channels here. We are actually using a line-in, because the input for proppfrexx is our studio mixer (can be microphone or music or anything coming from the studio), but that's not the point. The point is,...

Why am I getting mono sound when I use an ASIO driver?
Hi there, We've set up our proppfrexx system pretty nicely now, and are running some tests. We've encountered a big problem, namely that, when our DJ's speak into the microphone and listen to the output of proppfrexx, the sound is heavily delayed by possibly half a second. In our setup, the DJ's act...

Re: Remote Advertising planning
Thanks! That info should get us going.
We'll test it in the coming days. Again, thanks for the prompt response.

Re: Remote Advertising planning
That last option is the one we intended to use for remote access: Use a virtual machine that runs on a machine within the same network as where ProppFrexx is running, and use a remote desktop connection to connect to that pc, so that's not a problem. I understand what you mean by using the schedulin...
