VST & Mixer setup
VST & Mixer setup
Hi Bernd,
When I save a mixer setup and load another, my VST (jb_broadcast.dll) won't unload : In this example I saved my configuration just before loading the VST, then I loaded it, and then I reloaded my previous config setup. You can see the VST is still active.
I think the only way to unload it is to restart PF
Do you have a solution/workaround?
Thank you
EDIT: Could you move this to "Bug Reports" ?

Re: VST & Mixer setup
I just made another few tests here and found NO errors or issues.
See here in the video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jqgvaigg1lwdp ... t.avi?dl=0
If you are testing things differently, please tell me the exact steps in order to do so.
And what version of jb_broadcast are you using? Mine is v2.0.3.0 from 29.10.2007.

Re: VST & Mixer setup
Yes, that looks like a bug. I'll take a look.
You can use 'Recreate and Reset' on the mixer channel to remove the VST - that work in any case...

Re: VST & Mixer setup
Hi Quentin,
a new v4.0.0.29-beta is available (so "Check for Beta-Version...") which should hopefully fix this issue.

Re: VST & Mixer setup
The issue doesn't seems to be fixed.
In attachment i've uploaded my files, Broadcast.mixer.bak which was saved manually and Broadcast.mixer which was saved automatically when I closed PF. You can see all parameters are lost.
There is an other bug (but already in the previous versions) : The custom program parameters of the VST is lost sometimes, maybe due to switching profiles? In attachment i've uploaded my files, Broadcast.mixer.bak which was saved manually and Broadcast.mixer which was saved automatically when I closed PF. Re: VST & Mixer setup
What do you mean by switching profiles? Or do you mean switching Users?
So far I can not reproduce that issue here. Also are here the VST removed.
Maybe this is an old issue especially with the jb_broadcast VST?!

Re: VST & Mixer setup
I'm using the same version of jb_broadcast.
Could you test by adding 2 VST jb broadcast on the same output?
Otherwise, I'll try to reproduce starting from scratch...

Re: VST & Mixer setup
Just to be sure, i was talking about these parameters :
- Start ProppFrexx without any DSP, save the current Mixer Setup (eg. NoDSP.mixer).
- Load the jb_broadcast.dll DSP.
- Choose the "Default" program (after "High pressure"), rename it as you want (eg. Preset1).
- Adjust some settings (Gain, ratio,...)
- Save the mixer setup (eg. Broadcast.mixer)
- Load you previous setup (NoDSP.mixer), then load Broadcast.mixer.
In my case, only the custom "Preset1" is saved, the other programs results as the picture above.

Re: VST & Mixer setup
I see, but this feature (renaming and creating your own program presets) is NOT supported by jb_broadcast
Renaming and creating your own program presets is a general VST feature, which must be supported by the VST itself. If the VST doesn't support this (persistently) there is nothing I can do.
What ProppFrexx supports is to save and restore the last settings! And this is working pretty well.

Re: VST & Mixer setup
I also tested the scenario with 2 and even 3 instances of the jb_broadcast VST within the same mixer channel.
Also here all worked as expected and the instances have been fully removed (after I have loaded the old/empty mixer setup).
I also tested the save and restore of all VST setting parameters (again with 1 as well as with 2 VST instances).
Again that worked well without issues.
I first opened PFOA without any VST loaded, then I added the VST to DSP1 and DSP2; I then changed the paramters in DSP1 as well as in DSP2. I closed PFOA and restarted it. After the restart all parameters in DSP1 and DSP2 have been restored correctly.
I then again loaded an old/empty mixer setup and both VSTs have been fully removed.
