Conductor field in M4A tags

Hi Bernd,

I noticed ProppFrexx doesn't read the "Conductor" field in the M4A tags. It works properly on other formats (eg. mp3, ogg, flac).
Could you have a look?

Thanks

Quentin

Take a look here: https://www.proppfrexx.radio42.com/foru ... =9&t=7&p=9

That is where ProppFrexx reads the ‚Conductor‘ field from (also for M4A)!

Thanks for your reply. However, I am not sure to understand correctly. I'm using MP3Tag to tag my files, with a field called "CONDUCTOR" and it works for all the other formats, even for ID3v2.3. Here you write "TPE3, TP3", what does that mean?
Is there any way to configure it in MP3Tag?

I am not an MP3Tag specialist nor do I maintain or support this product.
I can only tell you where ProppFrexx does read/write the CONDUCTOR field from/to.

For ID3v2 it is the "TPE3" resp. "TP3" field (eg. see here: http://id3.org/id3v2.3.0)
For M4A (iTunes) it is the "----:com.apple.iTunes:CONDUCTOR" atom, which is the user defined text field called CONDUCTOR.

You actually need to ask the developer of MP3Tag where he does store the CONDUCTOR value in case of M4A, in order to see, where the difference is resp. to understand how you need to setup MP3Tag, so that the CONDUCTOR value is stored in the same way.

Thanks for the information. I'll investigate on the tagger software side.
