Hello Bernd,
i have a some big problem to save matadata from playlist.

workflow:

1) selected the track
2) alt + 3 to edit tag
3) modify data
3) click on save meta data tag
3) apply or save

but nothing, PFOA didn't save any changes on tags.

Can you help me please?

can i ask also tell me ${tracktype} what it mean? I had try to pass this variable just to separate song(music) and jingles but nothing was passed to the script.

What PF version are you using?

How are you testing things (to determine that the TAGs are not saved)?
(do you reopen the playlist and click Alt+3 again? If yes what format is your playlist?)

Is the audio file you are editing still playing or loaded to a DJ Player while you are editing the TAGs (or is it may be open by another application)?
(if yes, it might be the case that PF is unable to save the TAG data to a file which is still open)

What is your "Metadata has Priority" setting (see general settings, section 'Meta Data/WaveForm')?
Have you may be enabled the "Never Save anything to Audio Files" option?

However, I am sure it is a pure settings or testing issue and no bug, since in all my tests here it is working as expected.

The ${tracktype} macro will resolve to the defined media entry type, e.g. "Music", "Sweeper", "Jingle" etc. (see below for a complete list).
If that macro can/will be evaluated/available depends in which system event you are using that macro?!

Music
Music2
NewMusic
Jingle
