Setup/Installation file has Trojans?

Post by quoza »

Tried to install the new Proppfrexx on my laptop and desktop to try it out - received two warnings during installation on my Windows 10 desktop:

1) ProppFrexx ONAIR Watcher.exe - Severe Trojan Win32/Fuery.A!cl
2) pfpconv.exe - Severe Trojan Win32/Fuery.A!cl

Please advise! Surely you're not distributing viruses? The installation file was the one sent via email link to download the file ProppFrexx_ONAIR64_Setup.zip

Seems that this is a false positive!

I have used various scanners and they did not find anything.
So I assume your scanner just found a pattern, but which is NOT a Trojan!

I just performed various additional tests - NO virus or trojan found!
Tested with:
Avast, AVG, BitDefender, BullGuard, GData, Sophos, Kaspersky, McAfee, Microsoft, Symantec, TotalAV, WhiteArmor, and a few others.

So I assume, that this proves, that ALL IS SAFE!

quoza you can also scan with virustotal.com If only a few scanners "finds" a virus/trojan, then it is a false positive
