simple Playlist + jingle once in a while

Hi,

I want to create a music playlist but have no idea where to start, because of all the options.
Of course I can just drag music + jingles into a playlist (below the players), but how do I create a playlist where I (for example) can say:

1. play random tracks from folder x
2. play a jingle from folder x each 2-3 music files.

I just need a quick start so I can experiment.

I also noticed that some jingles fade to quickly, so I need to adjust Next and Fade somewhere.

thanks

I have become much wiser because of the explanation in the tutorial videos

good luck

The most simple way is to create a small script, which defines exactly what you are looking for.
Beside the tutorial videos given above, these two post might be on interest:

To insert a Jingle from a folder after every 2-3 music files; you can simply create a folder based cartwall library and then specify in the script-header to use that cartwall library as your 'Jingle' within a range of every 2-3 script-lines.
In your script-lines you then specify your regular music to be scheduled; eg. you for example use one or more media libraries and 'pick' tracks randomly from them for example.

Thanks, I have looked at it, but it needs a bit more study I found out.
Would be great if a simple wizard could be made into Proppfrexx, who would ask some questions and would create it for you.

I guess such a wizard doesn’t really make much sense, as almost all users want something different.
