Overlays exceptions

Post by jsonio »

Hello Bernd,

Is there a way to ignore soft overlays (played from the overlay scheduler) for a given program? I would like to eject it when a 60 min podcast is playing, a bit like the jingles can be ejected after a few time with the max. remaining parameter. But there is no Max Remaining param in the overlay settings page.

I also noticed the "NO OVERLAY" default param in the bottom of the program settings but it is very confusing since it doesn't seem to have the effect of ignoring the overlays in the given program.

Thank you very much in advance for your help,

Justin

Thank you very much !
I'm using PF since V3 and I didn't know that those options existed.

It's perfect as always!

In the Program Entry Editor you can specify 'Options' with that program.
One of it is called 'SuppressAllOverlays' - this options allows you what it is supposed to do according to its name. It suppresses all overlays running during that program.

In addition you might also define 'Options' with an Overlay Scheduler Entry. E.g. there is a 'ForceUsageNeverSuppress' option, which now allows you to overrule the above suppress option for programs. e.g. in case you have overlays which you want to play regardless.
