ProppFrexx Freezes

Dear all,

Since a while, our ProppFrexx freezes at irregular times. Only a restart of ProppFrexx solves the problem.
We are currently running version 4.0.5.8

We are aware that recently an update was released, solving this issue.

Unfortunately, if we install this update, the OVL's are ignored (gray in the playlist) an thus not played.
A roll-back was necessary.

Does someone has any idea how we can update without loosing the OVL's?

Best regards and thank you on beforehand,
Dirk

There is no issue known to me, that OVL's (Overlays I assume) are being lost with an update!
All Overlays entries should still stay in the Overlay Scheduler calendar file (contained in your Advert Storage Path).
Maybe you can send me your Overlay calendar file to test it here - and also a sample playlist (where is appears gray - not even sure what you mean by gray)?!

Dear Bernd,

The Overlays (OVL) are not lost. They appear as it should be.
Only, their content is not played (commercials for example).
In the playlist they appear in grey due to the fact that the cntent could not be loaded (same a a track pointing to a wrong location).

Best regads,
Dirk

Has your location changed? Did you migrate to a new PC?

What content do you play out via overlays - are we talking about Adverts, News?
Or are you playing plain scripts/tracks vis overlays?

I see no reason, why they shouldn't be not valid anymore - and I have also not heard from any other customer so far where this happened.
As said, please send me your Overlay Calendar file to take a look... I might then ask for additional content...

The overlays plays adverts, news and promos.

Nothing is changed. No migration to new PC.
PF is running on a dedicated PC, the content (adverts in mp3 format) oe on a seperate server.
This setup runs for years.

I will send you a e-mail.
