ProppFrexx Tags lost after editing
ProppFrexx Tags lost after editing
Dear,
We have been remotely editing our mp3's with mp3gain and mp3tagger, and noticed now that all the propfrexx tags (mixpoint, ramp, etc...) are deleted?
Any idea why? Is there a way to edit your librabry without loosing the proppfrexx tags?

Re: ProppFrexx Tags lost after editing
No, but ProppFrexx won’t delete any TAGs!
As such, someone/something must have deleted the TAGs outside of ProppFrexx.
To be 100% sure, or to see, if there is another way to recover it. Please send me one or two example audio files!

Re: ProppFrexx Tags lost after editing
I think I have found the problem.
Normally I always work the same way when adding stuff to the database.
1- MP3Gain
2- MP3Tagger
3- ProppFrexx tagger
this time I needed to clean up a music database of somebody else. So I did not go back to step 3 cause I was assuming that all this data would still be in the tag.
Now at the same moment the database is synced with 2 other devices where people work on.
It might be that that's where it went wrong, and where it got messed up.
At the moment I don't have any of the files anymore, I have adjusted them all again so that there was no problem anymore.
Thank you anyway for the service and support!

Note, that the 1st and 2nd tool is not really needed, PF can do both as well...i.e. calculate the replay gain and tag the data...
