3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
Hi Bernd,
I just found out that with the newest version I cannot connect to the streams (Icecast2) I have configured. I rolled back to 3.0.11.30, and there it works no problem.
Please tell me what you need to diagnose the problem. Thank you.
Greetings
Sven

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
Maybe your Username/Password settings are incorrect.
In .32 I changed the credentials settings and splitted the 'source' and 'admin' username/password into separate fields.
When you open the Stream-Server-Configuration dialog...make sure the "Username" field is empty!

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
Indeed, I saw this… what do I put in the ‘Admin’ fields?
[Edit] I think this thread can be moved to the ‘Questions & Answers’ section.

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
In other words, I would put the credentials there that are used for the ‘Statistic relay’ in SAM Broadcaster? You don’t have these by chance for RauteMusik.FM (by PM or e-mail (SvenZ77 AT RauteMusik DOT FM))?

Ok, thank you.
Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
While I’m at it, I’m a bit curious: You don’t have any problem connecting to the Lounge modstream(s) leaving the Admin fields empty in .32? Because that’s my problem (for Goldies).
Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
No, apparently not.
Try these settings:
Username = <leave this field empty>
Password = <specify source-password>
Admin = <leave this field empty>
Password = <leave this field empty>

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
Yes, that works. Thank you very much.
In the old versions, Icecast2 requested a username, which was usually ‘source’. If this field can now be left empty, this simplifies things a bit.

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
In the Admin username/password fields you might specify your ICEcast admin username and pasword
This is only needed, if you want to use this streaming server instance also for 'offline' mode operations (ie. to get the listener stats and/or to update the song title info even when not connected) - in any other cases you might simply leave these fields empty.

Re: 3.0.11.32: Cannot connect to streams
Yes. this would typically be Admin-Username=admin; Admin-Password=<yourpassword>.
No, I don't have them for RauteMusik.FM - but Neo should have them.
