Modstream problems

Post by owienk »

Hi Bernd,

We use the modstream for the live broadcasts. If, for example, the internet connection is lost at the live station, the playlist must start playing. if the modstream is stable again, it must go live again after a complete song from the playlist.
We now often have the problem that the playlist plays parts of a number of songs, or even the playlist and the modstream play together. But sometimes it goes well.
Can you indicate where this goes wrong and what we can do about it?
I have added 2 photos of the settings.

What version are you using?
Is it the latest v4.1.1.0?

I just tried it here (with the latest v4.1.1.0) and it always waited til the current song finished to play, i.e. it went live after the current playlist track finished. I also could not reproduce the duplicate play out.

So please try to upgrade to the lastest v4.1.1.0 and try again.
If it happens again, please turn on the 'Debug Logging' (section More Stuff) and then reproduce the issue.
After that, deactivate the 'Debug Logging' and then send me the generated log file called 'Debug_.....log' contained in the AppUserData folder.

We run the update last night and tested it.
We were unable to reconstruct the problems with the steam.
What we have seen is when the playlist is running, and when we turn off the modstream, a new track starts playing.
If necessary, I can send a debug logfile and a video of this.

What do you mean by: the playlist is running and you turn off the MODStream?
Do you mean, that the MODStream function was active but offline, but trying to reconnect and thus the playlist was currently playing - and you then stopped the MODStream function!?
Please explain the exact steps to reproduce.

The playlist is running because the live station is buffering. The live station is already back, but not live again. if you then want to temporarily switch off the modstream because the live station is not stable, the playlist switches to the next track.

I have a video of it, but I cannot post it here. can I send you this video?

I just released a v4.1.1.1 update, which I guess fixes that issue as well - so please try this one.
