Networking

Post by bambam35614 »

Hello,

Is somebody please able to explain how to configure the programme so that 2 PC's connected on the LAN are able to communicate with the same media library and be able to access the same schedules etc. as I cannot find anything in the manual that points towards this,

Thanks

The use of the Media Library Server (MLS) is explained here:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1014&p=3914

The MLS allows you to have a central repository of media libs to be used by multiple client.
Note, that by default UNC paths are used and shared with all clients. As such make sure, that each client can physically access the audio files as referenced by those central media libs! Eg. use a shared network folder to host all audio files.

The scheduler dukes (the .calendar files) can also be placed in such a shared folder. Each client can then reference the same location - see the general settings to change the location of the scheduler files.
