Takes many days before new music is played
Re: Takes many days before new music is played
That is totally correct and it should not do so. That is how I understood your case.
But from where did you start the PFL ?
If it is eg. the directory Explorer it would not!

Re: Takes many days before new music is played
I import the new tracks in the "All music" playlist to update song information in the TAG. I have the feeling that PF sees the "All music" playlist also as an on-air playlist hence puts the tracks directly in the GSH (that is when the manual added tracks setting is "Always"). It is solved for me now, but it took quite some time to find the solution. We keep learning!
Re: Takes many days before new music is played
No! Any playlist manual playlist is treated the same!
There is also no ‚All music‘ playlist in ProppFrexx.
But never manipulate or change the internal playlists
These are always staring and ending with an _.
Eg. _synced_.pfp or _global_.pfp.
I still do not understand how exactly you import new tracks? Please describe the steps in detail. Else I cannot help you out.
But your assumptions are all wrong so far. But, as said, without knowing what you do, I can only guess.
But good to know it is now working.
And the mode you use now is also the default.
And that’s maybe a good rule for all: never change a default value, unless you know what you are changing

Re: Takes many days before new music is played
Hi Bernd, here a detailed description of how I add new music tracks to PF. I add a new music track to the windows folder "Music". The I open the "All music" (name of my "playlist" in the "Music" folder). I drag and drop the newly added track in the playlist. Then I open the newly added track and add information like mood, cue points, year, etc. After that I save the "All music" playlist and the track is now added to PF with all the relevant data attached to it. The new track is now ready to be chosen by the script. This systematic works fine so far. What am I doing wrong here? /JW
Re: Takes many days before new music is played
That explains all and works as designed:
- you are opening a playlist (name doesn't matter)
- you are manually adding tracks to it (via drag and drop)
- you had set the option to always add manually added tracks to the global history
- that is exactly what you you did
It doesn't matter to which playlist you are adding tracks, o if the playlist was opened manally or not - you simply manually added tracks.
So all is fine, you are not doing anything wrong!
At that time you had set the option 'Add to Global History' (for manually added tracks) to 'Always'.
Once you changed that option back to its default value all is fine!
You asked, what you did wrong: the answer was, that you changed that option initially.
