Main output levels?
Hello everyone!
My brother and I are starting an internet radio station. We are broadcasting with a Behringer DX2000 mixing desk and the UCA202 soundcard, which together is our input channel in PFOA. We also use a DBX 286S microphone processor.
Which levels should we aim for on the LEDS to get a decent sounding output? Music, speech, phonecalls etcetera?
Thank you in advance

Re: Main output levels?
As I don’t know the DX2000 very well, it all sounds okay.
But I thought, that you can maybe also record the main output channel of the DX2000 via the USB Interfaxe directly, eg. you maybe don’t need that extra cable to your sound card
The dB range of the channel strips cannot be changed. In digital audio processing there is no headroom as in the analog world, so it can not go above 0dB.
So the level should never go at exactly 0dB as if it wants to go above 0dB it will be clipped and doesn’t sound good.
