Hi Bernd,

I installed Proppfrexx on a new clean Windows 11 machine. Installatiopn was ok, but I cannot install the 4.2.7.1 update. There was an error on creating a directory or file. Then the installation is aborted. Of course i tried the administrator option, but this also gave the same error.

Unpacking of the update file, gave an error of the advertising executable. (??)

4.2.7.2 Did automatically install after a upgrade popup. So problem solved!

hi, what exactely is medialib local storage?

For 'Remote Media Libraries' you can now define a Local Storage path, which is simply a local folder.
If specified, a remote media entry (file) will be copied to this local storage location whenever accessed (e.g. via a script-line or thru an external log import). This way a local storage is build dynamically. The next time the entry is validated, if the file exists locally, if yes, it is directly used.
Caution: Over time, a fully copy of all remote files are created, so make sure enough space is available locally.

This way you might create a local copy of a remote media lib over time to reduce network traffic. This feature was especially build for a very large customer as an optional feature. In most cases I assume, that no other customer needs this feature. As said, it create a copy in a plain and quite simple way.
