GPIO client does not open in Windows 10 last version

Post by rbsradio »

Hi,
since updating the computer to the latest version of Win10 pro; Proppfrexx is starting en the GPIO also. But we can not open the GPIO client.$
Clicking on it is display: another instance is already running....
windows is reporting : incompatibel program.

When closing PF... the gpio stays running in the taskbar. It wont shutdown; we have to kill the task or reboot machine.

remotestart with airence or with vellemankit 8055: slow reaction of propfrexx/ Player starts seconds later
Testing vellemankit separated in demo mode = works fine only not in Proppfrexx.

D&R AIRENCE Mixer
Windows10 pro 64 bit Dutch version
AMD 5 Rhyzen
32 GB Ram
MSI Mobo

When the GPIO Client is already running, it cannot be running again!
Note, that when it is configured in PF, it is started automatically when ProppFrexx is starting.

The GPIO client is located in the Windows Tray area. Double click there on the GPIO icon in the try to start it.

When the Velleman kit is in general working, this also means, that the GPIO client must be running.
The long latency can not be explained here, as it uses native Velleman communication as well as native TCP communication between the GPIO client and ProppFrexx.
So there must be some network issue in your setup?!

The error message you posted seems unrelated?! Where does it come from and where is it shown?! As I have never seen it so far in ProppFrexx.

So I suggest a reboot of your machine, sometimes this already helps…

Solution:
1. uninstall Proppfrexx. Remove folder radio42
2. reboot.
3. remove standard user
4. reboot
5. make a new user with administratorrights
6. download Proppfrexx 64bit
7. install Proppfrexx from scratch
8. setup all things that is need. 6 hours work...
9. reboot
10. update Proppfrexx dialog : install update
11. reconfig audiocards (usb) because they are messed up (not same order).
12. test PF : works and GPIO also.
