Time Taggen

Post by Jeroen R »

Dear
via tagger you can tag a jingle that it may only play between certain hours. Through the selection in script, these jingles are still selected in all hours. What is the best thing to do so that the script also reads the time settings of the jingle?

Can you please post your settings, as I can not reproduce it here. Eg. how are you using/loading the jingle…?

Best

see attachment, I load the jingles via cartwall in the script.
However, the set time is ignored.

Maybe there is something else that I don't do enough but I can't find it.
Furthermore, very satisfied with Proppfrexx. We love it!

I’ll double check…
So I just double-checked it and it worked as expected. I.e. I created a cartwall library and tagged a few tracks in the lib, with exactly your restriction (TimeStart=15:00:00, TimeEnd=12:00:00).
This restriction should NOT play those tracks when the time is after 15:00:00 or before 12:00:00.
I did the test at 21:00:00,i.e. the tracks with the restrictions should not be selected... and that exactly was also the case - i.e. only the cartwall tracks without the restriction have been selected. So it worked as designed.

After changing the track in the Tagger - have you reloaded/recanned the related Cartwall library within ProppFrexx?!
Note, that PF caches all metadata in memory. So when you change the TAGs/MetaData, you will need to Rescan the related Media/Cartwall library to read-in the changed data.

Closing and restarting Proppfrexx solved the problem.
Tagging jingles with time offers a lot of possibilities. Thank you Bernard!
